In this learning experience, through discussion and role-play, participants explore:
- A new model for resolving workplace conflict through an intentional conversation with a workplace colleague
- Conditions that make a given workplace conflict appropriate for self-facilitated resolution
- How people perceive and respond during conflict and reconciliation to comprehend the conditions necessary to promote resolution
- Exploring the behavioral reflexes exhibited during conflict
- Setting expectations for a successful conflict conversation
- The predictable stages of workplace conflict resolution
Whether you are a new or a seasoned academic, this training provides an opportunity to reflect on your role in a successful conflict conversation, while also practicing and connecting with other academics. Faculty and academic staff are welcome to attend this workshop.
Units that wish to host a unit-exclusive program should contact facultydevelopment@tamu.edu to schedule a discussion of this option. This is subject to the guaranteed attendance of a sufficient size audience of academic leaders.
IMPORTANT: Seats in each workshop, both formats, are limited. Given the interactive nature and use of role-play, etc. under-subscribed sessions may be subject to cancelation. Engaged attendance of the entire workshop is required to earn a certificate.
