The Association of Former Students University-Level Distinguished Achievement Awards honor Texas A&M University faculty and staff members in the areas of teaching, research, individual student engagement, graduate mentoring, extension/outreach/continuing education/professional development, administration and staff support.
Award recipients are selected in by a university-wide committee of both faculty and staff. Awardees are formally recognized in a ceremony and each receives a monetary award, framed certificate, and custom gift.
Selection Committee Makeup
Each committee member will be assigned to a sub-committee by Faculty Affairs and will participate in the evaluation of nomination packages and the selection of winners in each award category.
Sub-committees will hold additional meetings, as needed, between the time of the initial meeting and the time that voting ballots are completed. Electronic deliberations are permitted.
