Fellowships

These programs offer opportunities for current or aspiring leaders to gain experience and knowledge.

SEC Academic Leadership Development Program Fellows

Fellows selected for the SEC Academic Leadership Development Program (ALDP) have the unique opportunity to develop their leadership skills at both their home institution and at two additional conference institutions. Among a cohort of driven, invested faculty with foundational experience and high leadership potential, ALDP fellows engage in discussions and development initiatives designed to deepen their capacity to think and act effectively as future leaders in the academy. Texas A&M selects four faculty annually to participate in this conference-wide initiative.

Development Projects Underway by Previous SEC ALDP Fellows

Fellows of the SEC ALDP are expected and encouraged to serve in senior leadership roles at their home SEC universities with goals of personal and institutional development. At Texas A&M, former fellows of the SEC ALDP undertake projects in specific areas of their interest to move the university forward while further strengthening their leadership experience.

Fulbright Scholars Program

In partnership with Public Partnership & Outreach, Faculty Affairs supports scholars' applications to the Fulbright Program that is concurrent with Faculty Development Leave. The application closes in early fall, and the selection is finalized in late spring or early summer.
