Job Duties

  • Alyssa joined Faculty Affairs in August 2023 to support faculty professional development. Prior to her position in Faculty Affairs, she worked in the Office for Diversity as a program manager, and the College of Science on undergraduate retention initiatives, including first year experience, peer mentoring, and transfer student transition programs. Before starting at Texas A&M in 2017, she was a middle school math teacher. Alyssa is a lifelong learner, and loves finding new ways of connecting her work with innovative research. She received her undergraduate degree from California Polytechnic State University (Cal Poly), San Luis Obispo, an M.S. in Educational Human Resource Development with an emphasis in Adult Education from Texas A&M University, and an M.Ed. in Higher Education from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington. She is pursuing a Ph.D. in Educational Administration in Higher Education, and her research interests focus on inclusive teaching practices, mentorship, and professional development.

    In her spare time, Alyssa enjoys Aggie football, reading, podcasts, and walks with her dogs, Maggie & Mo.
