New Academic Leader Orientation (August 17th) is for faculty members who have accepted a new appointment with a provost, dean, or department head title within the previous year. College leaders may also request approval to send individuals with other titles as appropriate. And, all NALO attendees are all invited to participate in New Faculty Orientation (August 15th - 16th).
By design, New Academic Leader Orientation starts with academic leaders experiencing New Faculty Orientation alongside faculty in their first year. This provides a current understanding of expectations and resources for Texas A&M University faculty. Following the content for new faculty and the opportunity to engage directly with academic divisions and university service providers, academic leaders spend the final day interacting with one another and exploring the responsibilities and rules integral to their roles.
Note: Registration for New Academic Leader Orientation (NALO) will open in July, so please stay tuned for the announcement that registration has officially opened.
