Faculty Conversation Cafe is typically held in-person on the first Friday of each month from 8:30-10 a.m. The Zoom option is offered 8:30-9:30 a.m. the day before (Thursday) for faculty that are unable to attend the in-person event.

Topic: From Classroom to Community: Embedding Citizenship and Service in Your Curriculum
As a land grant institution, Texas A&M University works to “build citizens for good” through citizenship and service initiatives. This Faculty Conversation Cafe features the Citizenship and Service Program and how faculty can integrate the four key pillars of character, knowledge, skills and service into their teaching. Faculty will learn more about the ongoing initiatives to incorporating civic engagement activities into various disciplines and course formats that align with the university's commitment to developing engaged citizens. This session will feature practical examples, resource sharing, and collaborative brainstorming to help you inspire student leadership and meaningful community involvement through your curriculum.
