Working to provide selfless service to partner placements at Texas A&M University, the goal of the Dual Career Program is to bring professional assistance to maximize the employment opportunities that are essential to the recruitment and retention of faculty members. To accomplish this goal, the program manager collaborates and engages with an extensive network including academic leadership, staff leadership within the university, community business owners and hiring managers.

Dea Polk has over a decade of experience in dual career employment placement and is the primary contact for faculty partners seeking faculty and staff (non-faculty) positions. For those seeking faculty positions she can assist with academic positions, including tenure/tenure-track and academic professional track positions. For staff (non-faculty) she will seek roles within Texas A&M as well as companies and organizations in the community and surrounding Brazos Valley. Dea also assist the partners of faculty at other Texas A&M University System schools by working with the HR Team on each designated campus. Her clients receive services ranging from resume/CV review, interview preparation, professional bio development, job search assistance, job matching, and provision of letters of support to hiring managers. Dea advises Texas A&M leadership on financial bridge funding support for faculty and non-faculty positions within the university. Her visibility and engagement allow her to establish and maintain a wide variety of cross-campus contacts. Dea provides professional etiquette instruction via presentations to university departments and community groups as well.
