Generate Professional Success
This program encourages faculty to invest time in reviewing expectations for promotion in the academic professional track (APT), in order to identify both the strategies and tactics necessary for success. Its audience is APT Faculty considering promotion to any rank within the next three to five years.
The 2022 workshop series will be held May 16 in ILCB 315 and May 17 in ILCB 224.

Focuses on familiarity with the process and materials submitted by the candidate.

Know the Terrain: Promotion Basics and Planning Your Strategy

- Consider the questions you should ask at your annual review

Plan Your Trip: Identifying Goals, Milestones, and Resources

- Identify goals for your areas of responsibility (teaching, research, and service)
- Set milestones needed to meet goals for midterm review
- Set milestones needed to meet goals for promotion dossier submission
- Estimate the resources and skills you need to meet your milestones and accomplish your goals

Includes a menu of workshops reviewing the habits and practices that facilitate success across the possible responsibilities of various academic professional track faculty titles.
