Fellowships

These programs offer opportunities for current or aspiring leaders to gain experience and knowledge.

SEC Academic Leadership Development Program Fellows

Fellows selected for the SEC Academic Leadership Development Program (ALDP) have the unique opportunity to develop their leadership skills at both their home institution and at two additional conference institutions. Among a cohort of driven, invested faculty with foundational experience and high leadership potential, ALDP fellows engage in discussions and development initiatives designed to deepen their capacity to think and act effectively as future leaders in the academy. Texas A&M selects four faculty annually to participate in this conference-wide initiative.

Faculty Aspiring Leadership Program

The Faculty Aspiring Leadership Program will offer strategic development of faculty across campus to sustain transformative change through individual and organizational skill building. Program Fellows are emerging leaders with the potential to impact the institution and will build a portfolio of leadership experience.

Grants

Faculty Affairs and the Southeastern Conference fund the SEC Travel grant for Texas A&M faculty annually. The grant allows faculty from one SEC campus to travel to another SEC campus to collaborate with others.

In partnership with Public Partnership & Outreach, Faculty Affairs supports scholars' applications to the Fulbright Program that is concurrent with Faculty Development Leave. The application closes in early fall, and the selection is finalized in late spring or early summer.
